Actually, I got a good little story that just happened recently. Do you guys ever play pranks or joke around, or have dance parties or anything fun? They’re just, honestly, such amazing people and such characters.ĬG: Tell me about some of the fun things you do on set. I learn something every day from Jake and Amelia, and even Saara. It’s a life changing experience when you’re here, because you’re just learning so much from everybody. It’s such an amazing environment, honestly. He treats me just like a big brother, because he’s telling me to not do something stupid. There’s no one I love more than the people on this set, especially Jake. Jonny Gray: My co-stars, are all awesome. Yeah, I haven’t really encountered it yet.ĬG: Tell me about life on set. If somebody’s going to see me on the hill, if they recognize me, I just say, “Yeah, let’s go for a run,” or something like that. Jonny Gray: Honestly, I just hope when I’m out snowboarding, that somebody’s not going to recognize me, because then they’re going to be like, “Oh, you know, go do something crazy.” It’s like, “Yeah, I can’t.” Oh yeah, I definitely … When I go snowboarding, I’ve been snowboarding for like, 6 years now, so I’m pretty experienced at it. When you’re on the slopes, do people expect you to be able to do wild tricks like your character? I’ll say something really dull and something that’ll be very obvious and I don’t understand it, and, they’ll say, “that’s a Max Asher moment!” I guess that’s how I’m really like Max.ĬG: You mentioned that you do snowboard. Sometimes, this is kind of funny, I have these moments that people call “Max Asher moments,” - mostly Jake and family. I’m not there yet, but I can also snowboard as well. He’s also really athletic, and I think that’s one of the things that I have most in common with him, is that we’re both … He’s a professional snowboarder. He’s a really upbeat and energetic guy, and he’s really friendly as well. Jonny Gray: I am similar to Max in some way. They’ll make the character more like you, but not too significantly, so I thought that was pretty amazing. The writers find little mannerisms that you’re used to seeing and they’ll put it in the script. And then, by the end of the first season, I just saw how much I developed as an actor, and how much my character’s developed as well. It took me back a step about how much work goes into the show. When I got to set, I was just completely amazed by how it all goes. I was in shock, and didn’t even know what to think for like two days. I’m not really an experienced actor, so it was kind of a really new experience for me. Jonny Gray: The whole process of getting the role of Max, it was really stressful for me, because I had to do a lot of auditions and a lot of screen tests. I also asked 7 Questions with Jonny and Jake.Ĭhannel Guide: Tell me about getting the role of Max. For my interview with Jake Goodman, click here.
